1715 N. Damen is a new 4-story 10,600 s.f. mixed-use project in the heart of Wicker Park. The building will include a 2,000 sf commercial space on the ground floor, a 2,800 sf condominium on the second floor, and a 3,400 sf condominium on the third and fourth floors. The project is seeking a two-star Chicago Green Homes certification and was selected for a Chicago Department of Environment green roof grant.

The modest green features for the building include a 700 s.f. garage green roof for the second floor condominium, and a 500 s.f. green roof for the top condominium. Mechanically, the building will feature radiant flooring throughout the building as well as energy-star heating and cooling equipment.

Construction is scheduled to start in the fall of 2007. Other project team members include general contractor (and primary business of the owner) Rock and Wall Construction, mechanical engineer dbHMS, and structural engineer R.I. Johnson & Associates.
